Holidays

UGH!
Rough year this year. 1st one since Dad passed away and this time last year he was so sick.
I remember being in Minneapolis at Donnie's parents house loving that I was there with them but aching to be home with Dad knowing time was so short.
This year, Christmas sucks. I miss the biggest brother (in San Deigo), miss Dad and feel this huge responsibility to make everyone else happy. If it weren't for the grandbaby, Dylan, I would send a postcard with "Merry Christmas! Love, Mom" scratched across the back, from a sunny beach in Mexico.

On the upside though, my Etsy store has been a destination for the holiday shoppers. Best month yet!

Visit the Gallery

Again, this last week I took quite a few items to the Art & Soul Gallery located in the Country Village in Bothell, WA. http://www.theartandsoulgallery.com/ The Gallery owner, Susan, has an incredible assortment of jewelry, artglass, mixed media, woodworking and more. Every time I've been there she has many customers in the store. Her eye for affordable Art that will sell is impeccable and the selection is matched nowhere! Stop by there to find my jewelry but most of all to see the awesome selection she has.

Country Village has over 45 specialty shops and restaurants in a country atmosphere with wandering brick paths and boardwalks. You can pop into the Cafe for lunch, ride the small train around the village, pick up a pumpkin or shop at the Farmer's Market on Friday's. I hear they have awesome Holiday displays coming! It is easy to get to, easy to park and a great place to go with Mom, Grandma and even the kids.

Featured!

I'm the only Jewelry Artist featured by "Fashion Ethic" at the Crave event on Nov 3rd and 4th.
"Fashion Ethic" is an awesome girl named Candice who is promoting designer responsibility by carrying only items that are made from recycled/reused items or renewable resources. Her clothing options are beautiful. A must have for the "fashionably ethical" crowd and a should have for the rest!

Awesome venue for an event like this!
Hopefully a busy one too. Come on by if you get the chance. A big showing of EtsyRain members.

Blogging

I'm new at the blogging thing and still working on what to add.
I've never been a journal keeper.
There is more than enough talking I have to do at work each day so by the time I sit down to write, my words are gone.
Used up for the day.
I'm here early today in hope that something wonderful and witty will flow from my fingers.
Not happening.
I may be in and out until I get into a routine of "Oh! I'll have to put that in my blog!"
Um, yeah.
If you know me, you know that will never happen.
I will make an effort though.
But then there are the questions;
How bad is my grammar, really? My punctuation? My spelling? Will I make a fool of myself?
Well, I write like I talk and I guess there will be mistakes here and there.
So what.
Bye for now.

Resist

I’ve resisted the occasional temptation to start my own blog but now it feels like it’s become a necessity. I’m not sure how to how to approach it. Do I want to share day to day ramblings with potential strangers? Do I feel the need to document my innermost thoughts? Do I need validation from the outside world in the form of Blog comments? Am I a literate writer? Do I know the “blogging rules”? ~> No, no, no, no and no.
I guess it will all work itself out.

What I’m really here for is networking.
To have a place for my customers & clients can go to find out a little more about me, my creations and where to find them.
To have a place where my family and friends can find out a little bit more about what I do when I’m not with them.
