my vision

Although it's been a little blurry getting the Studio set up this year, I think my vision is becoming clearer.
My original intention in opening the studio was to have a space that people could use to start, further, master or share their creativity. A place to take a workshop, host a workshop, swap creations, sell creations, find local art and the occasional unusual supply.

I think that the process of demolition, rebuilding, designing the space with the structural walls (in the way) in place and filling the studio left me a little blurry, and certainly tired.

I'm excited for 2010 to be here and the Holiday to finally be over. Opening the Studio in mid-October was NEVER my intention when we started working the last week of June. While the supporters have come out in droves,
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart - you know who you are :)
it's been quite a challenge to get "on the map" during these dark days of fall and winter and competing with the holidays.

Things are starting to shape up, energy is high, the sun is out (one can wish), and it's getting warmer outside (still wishing)!

Stop by and see what's happening Tuesday thru Saturday 11am to 6pm!
The Studio blog will also help to keep you in the loop :)

Yay! My Favorite!

This is one of the best, most diverse and fun events in Seattle. Find me there as a Vendor, too!

Big Weekend! 11-1 / 11-2

Im a bad blogger. What can I say?
It's holiday time and I've been working long and steady to build up inventory, take pictures, post a few things for sale in my stores here and there, fill wholesale orders, fill up the B&M stores I sell and consign at... Then there's the regular "life" stuff. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it.

This weekend is a double-header:

Saturday 11-1

Holiday Craft Fair - November 1, 2008Each year, hundreds of people attend the SEPAC Holiday Craft Fair. Local artists and crafters display and sell their wares at this popular community-building event. If you're an artisan looking for such an opportunity, click here for details about the date, location and a downloadable application.
This is a great opportunity for you to display and sell your interesting and artistic wares. It will be held at Woodmoor Elementary on: November 1, 2008!

Sunday 11-2 Come by and say hello!

I'm featured at Talent Database!

This morning I received an email telling me I'm in the "featured" section of the Art Channel's front page. Yay!

Art & Creativity Group

In November I joined a Sno County group for Women that focuses on Art, Creativity and Friendship.
So far, we have been meeting once a month in Lynnwood to learn a craft or art taught by a member of the group. It's a varied group with lots of different arts and styles.
We have painters, knitters, quilters, metalsmiths, jewelry makers, mixed-media altered artists, a woman that does concrete castings, an upcycler, you name it! It's been a lot of fun and it's where you'll find me the last Thursday night of every month :)

Visit the Gallery

Again, this last week I took quite a few items to the Art & Soul Gallery located in the Country Village in Bothell, WA. http://www.theartandsoulgallery.com/ The Gallery owner, Susan, has an incredible assortment of jewelry, artglass, mixed media, woodworking and more. Every time I've been there she has many customers in the store. Her eye for affordable Art that will sell is impeccable and the selection is matched nowhere! Stop by there to find my jewelry but most of all to see the awesome selection she has.

Country Village has over 45 specialty shops and restaurants in a country atmosphere with wandering brick paths and boardwalks. You can pop into the Cafe for lunch, ride the small train around the village, pick up a pumpkin or shop at the Farmer's Market on Friday's. I hear they have awesome Holiday displays coming! It is easy to get to, easy to park and a great place to go with Mom, Grandma and even the kids.
